Just as an FYI - I have also left this review on Tripadvisor, but I wanted to spread the word because our experience was so very amazing. Our wedding was in June, but I have been thinking about this review for a while because it is hard to put in words just how incredible this place, and the people that run it, are. We had about 85 guests at our wedding, and most of them were able to stay on the property, which was pretty much the most amazing experience of all time, to have everyone you love in one place. I think every guest came up to me to tell me a) how gorgeous Wades Point Inn is and b) that this was a completely unique wedding. You won't find a wedding factory here, so you can completely personalize it and feel completely at ease knowing that no one else will have been to a wedding like this, it isn't just another country club. Now, since not everyone is planning a wedding, let me just say that this is a magical place to come just because, and would be perfect for couples, families, a friends reunion, pretty much anything, The breakfast is out of this world - made from scratch and different every day. The view is nothing but impeccable. We had thunderstorms the few days we were there and it was majestic watching the lightning streak across the sky - our incredible photographers (Jos Studios) even managed to capture an amazing picture of us with lightning in the background. The owners, Betsy and Beth, were beyond words. So warm and welcoming and we felt like they were a part of the family after it was all over, and the rest of the staff were just as wonderful and helpful. They even let me use (and helped my mother-in-law pick) magnolias from their own tree after I ran out of time to put together the bridesmaid bouquets (seriously DIY brides - don't attempt this. It's a terrible idea). Each bridesmaid wound up carrying a single magnolia and it looked beautiful. For any bride considering this, here is the link to some of the pictures - it can be helpful to see more of the grounds/rooms and get ideas for places to take photographs (and trust me, there are a ton). josstudios.com/portfolio… Most of the guests actually wound up staying an extra day and we meant to explore St. Michaels, but we actually just wound up staying on the property, swimming and lounging, and then went for a sunset boat cruise around the area. It was a perfect weekend, and we absolutely can't wait to go back to Wades Point for an anniversary. The entire experience was the best weekend of our lives and we couldn't have done it without Wades Point Inn.

I visited here for a wedding two weeks ago and I already want to go back. There is just something magical about this place! The staff made my entire family feel like we were at home and took care of all of our needs. The location offers everything you could want and there is really no need to leave once you get here. Simply sit back and relax. The breakfasts were great and the house clean and beautiful. It was like something out of a novel or your dreams of where you envision total bliss. I would not hesitate to recommend Wades Point to anyone looking for an amazing getaway.

Perfect weekend getaway at Wades Point Inn on the Bay. ~10 min drive to St. Michaels town center where the Maritime Museum and restaurants are. Surprisingly, I found myself staying at the Inn for most of the time, lying on the several hammocks located around the property, lying on the lawn chairs watching the bay, going to the dock at night to watch the sunset or others fish, kayaking around the bay with the free kayaks they provide (just put your name on the list), attempting to take a bike ride, taking a short trail walk around the property to find some live chickens, and eating the AMAZING breakfast at Wades Point Inn (we had amazing crab quiches one morning, and they were so generous with the real crab filling--definitely best b&b breakfast I've ever had). Beth was super sweet and helpful. Definitely a fan, but need major improvements in the cleaning department. I paid $259 per night for the Blue Room, but there were cobwebs everywhere. I dropped my cup in the bathroom, and went to reach for it, but cobwebs got all over my hand. Super sticky and difficult to wash off. One of the towels they provided hanging in the bathroom was clearly yellow and gross. The mirror in the bedroom needed to be windexed, looked like it was never clean and blotchy. Found a spider on one of the beds, Lamp was tilted, and I tried to put it back in place, but it didn't really work. Our private balcony was not swept upon arrival, and when I put my yoga mat down on the balcony, the staff had swept around the mat the next day rather than picking it up, which put dust all over my mat. Also, the water was very hard on the skin, I'm not sure if it was the pipes or just the water in the area, but it made by skin extremely dry and it smelled very funny/metallic. There is no lotion or shower cap provided in the amenities. Also, the weirdest thing about the Blue Room was that there were NO LOCKS ON THE DOOR TO THE BLUE ROOM so anyone can come into your room when you are not in the room, it was my first time staying at a place with no private locks to secure your room when you leave (there is an old fashioned hook lock from the inside to use when you are in the room sleeping). So we decided not to take any chances and locked up our valuables in the car every time we left the room, which was not very convenient. Also, most of the bikes were super old and uncomfortable, only 2 adult upright mountain/hybrid bikes. Also wifi is only available in the main check-in room that has a few seats, and spotty connection in the front balcony. Overall, I would come here for a relaxing time outdoors hanging out in the property and their delicious breakfast. If you're not concerned with wifi connection, cleaniness, and locking your room, then this is the perfect relaxing weekend vacation spot. I also checked out the Perry Inn at St Michaels which is way more expensive than Wades Inn, but I simply liked the relationship with the outdoor environment at Wades Inn (hammocks, great view of the water, etc) more than Perry Inn.

Perfect destination for a three sisters long week end getaway. Expansive lawns, chairs, chaise lounges and hammocks to relax in, mellow atmosphere, friendly staff, jaw-dropping water views and activities to keep you busy(kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, bikes, fishing poles/nets, floating lounge chairs, croquet, frisbees)...or, just do nothing but read, rest, walk (there is a nature trail that winds around the pond, farm area, family burial grounds, and along the water), watch shooting stars at night, dance and sing (we did ALL of the above), and enjoy a sumptuous and filling breakfast that exudes hospitality and attention to detail. We were in the farm house and loved it. This place is like paradise to me.

My cousin got married here and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful spot on the Delmarva peninsula. It was right on the Chesapeake Bay with expansive views towards Annapolis and the various hills of the mainland. It was gorgeous just being out there and watching the boats go by and trying to figure out the coastline. The hotel itself is super cute. It's a large mansion that's been converted to basically a bed and breakfast. The grounds are expansive and there was plenty of room for a large party with various stages (wedding, drinks, reception, etc). To me, the house really reminded me of Noah's house from the movie The Notebook. But, it turns out that house is in South Carolina. Still, super romantic.

This inn has a fabulous setting, surrounded by water and lovely plantings. It's very old and charming, though some may find it too rustic, as the Summer Wing rooms had no heat in the bathrooms (already rustic with their age), and heaters for the bedrooms. But we loved it, and everyone there was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast looked like it could be awful, as it was all buffet on warmers. But somehow they kept everything tasting good. Grits, sausage, crab omelets. There were even warm cookies in the afternoon. Wonderful shared spaces, like the library with fireplace. Truly a delighful, relaxing week-end!

St. Michael's, MD. Have stayed here many years ago, and have tried to find it on our previous visits but could not. We did not remember the name and the signage on the drive from St Michaels to Tilghman Island for this Inn is very inconspicous. At last found it on this trip. Intend to stay here in the future. Will try to negotiate affordable rates for the midweek stay. This Inn has some good sharable suites too.

If you want a beautiful B & B with million dollar views this is the place. My wife discovered the Wades Point Inn about 8 years ago and took me there for my birthday and we have been back every year since. We book one of their cottages on the ground floor. They all have a small deck, perfect for my morning coffee. One step down and you're on a nicely manicured lawn with water on all three sides (it is on a point). Beautiful views of the Chesapeake left, right and center. The main house is beautiful and well kept. In the back, on the water is a very large sun room where you have breakfast. The breakfasts are not the gourmet experiences that we're used to. They have eggs, pastries, juices and coffee set out buffet style. They they serve you sausage or specially prepared eggs. It's all very nice but not the big production that gives B & B's half of their name. The property is about 15 minutes from the town of St. Michael where there are plenty of restaurants and shops, etc. It sits down a country lane which ends in their driveway. In total, it's about half a mile or more from the road. In addition to the Chesapeake, they have a walking path with a small pond. Frogs, turtles and deer abound. If you're looking for a quiet, restful stay I can highly recommend this property.

Pros: -they accepted our Groupon although it was not during the time for travel allocated for the deal! Great customer service...very friendly and accomodating regarding that issue. -BEAUTIFUL location! The water and serenity was perfect! -Beds were super comfy -Great amenities (kayaking and bicyles for free use) -Lucy the beagle! Cons: - Bugs! I know its by the water and you have to expect bugs outside, but there were fruit flies on the room that were pretty annoying (esp. when I found some in our wine that we left uncorked). Additionally, when you know that there are biting flies outside, bug spray should be provided in each room. -The breakfast was not good at all. My husband found two hairs in the jelly. -internet connection was really bad Overall: We had a great vacation. It was quiet and the Inn provided an enjoyable stay. I would definitly go back (with bug spray).

The only reasons I didn't give Wade's Point In 4 stars is because the bathrooms could use a little updating and the breakfasts are passable, but that's about it. We were there two days and it was the same breakfast both days. But I didn't go for the breakast, I went for the location and the views - this Inn is situated on a magnificant part of the Bay. We had a wonderful time in the hammocks reading books and taking in those gorgeous views. The Inn itself is lovely and homey. And it is priced just right. I will go back and soon! If you go, take your bikes and cycle in to town or toTilghman. Bring snacks and beverages to enjoy your own sunset happy hour. It's perfect.

Whenever I visit a place with multiple friends, I like to get a sense of their experience as well before I write my review. We all agreed Wades Point Inn deserves 5 stars!!! Groupon was running a great promotion for Wades Point Inn. My friends and I found it difficult to book any hotels/B&B's in or near St. Michael's that would allow three people to a room at a reasonable price. Wades Point Inn was extremely flexible and accommodating and allowed us to add an additional person for a $20 surcharge and to upgrade the room to an upstairs room with two queen beds for a $25 surcharge. We were very pleased with the overall price which ended up being $67/pp after taxes. What a steal! Wades Point Inn is conveniently located 7 miles from St. Michaels in a serene and peaceful location, situated on the water with beautiful scenery. We arrived on an overcast Sunday and had the entire grounds to ourselves for the most part. We ran into one couple, but other than that, the hotel was deserted, which contributed greatly to the serenity. I highly suggest booking this B&B on an off-day if you are looking forward to some quiet time. The grounds and room are extremely quaint and relaxing. In a way, I felt like it could be the backdrop for the Dirty Dancing movie. This is also a great place for kids to run around. There is tons of plush greenery. Wades Point Inn consists of a large house where check-in and breakfast took place, and then several other houses or garden style rooms. We stayed in room 423 which we loved. The room provided a respite for us with calming paint colors, bird pictures, and soft bedding (the Comphy brand sheets were to die for! As soon as I slipped under the covers, it was an "OMG-I-am-never-moving" moment). The room had a small kitchenette and dining table. We also had a balcony overlooking the water. The shower pressure was great in this room. Adding to the home- feeling was a gaggle of baby birds nesting above the door. At night-time when we first witnessed it, it gave us a scare because all we saw were some huge black wings hovering over the nest, but by morning it was the cutest site - 4 little baby birds chirping away... I did not expect much from the breakfast spread based on the other reviews, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. My friends look displeased at first but by the end we all thought breakfast was delicious. Breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits, fruit salad, granola, strawberry shortbread, coffee, orange juice etc. The granola was delicious. It was some sort of apple cinnamon concoction. We also thought the grits were the best we have ever had; fluffy like mashed potatoes with a cheesy taste. We sat on the screened in porch/patio and listened to and watched the rain during breakfast. In a close-by room there are books, magazines and board games if you want to relax after breakfast. My only complaint about Wades Point Inn is with regards to check-in and check-out. Don't expect much in the way of service. During check-in, the new staff person kept taking phone calls instead of checking me in. Even when I was next in line, she would take a new phone call in front of me instead of putting the call on hold. The phone calls were not short. Also there was no one available to check us out. I just left my key on the front desk. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One night felt like a month away. So worth it! I also have to say I enjoyed reading the funny and priceless comments left by the owner in response to complaints on Trip Advisor. Sassy!

We arrived early and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The grounds are beautiful. One thing to know is that cell phone service is not very good there & breakfast was not what we liked; spinach quiche and biscuits with gravy. We landed up eating breakfast in town. The beds are firm but comfortable and everything is clean.

got lucky with a last minute booking on labor day weekend! Very nice inn with a beautiful view and large grounds great for kids to wander around... Free bikes, canoe's and kayak's to play with and not far from town. The people running it are delightful. It's a bit bigger than any other b&b i have been to, something like 25 rooms in three houses, but didn't feel crowded at all. Makes for a lovely DC retreat!

This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Our room was nothing fancy, but was very pleasant and had a wonderful view. The hotel offers free bikes and kayaks and that was fun and really added to our stay. Breakfast keeps on coming piping hot and delicious in the morning. Lucy, the owner's dog is super cute but seems to have seen it all...don't expect a wagging tail!

Beautiful, quiet setting. Small, intimate, homey. The breakfast is not that good, and the prices seem a bit high to me, especially for the newer building, but overall a lovely weekend getaway.
